Yalumba "The Strapper" Barossa Valley GSM 2013

91 Wine Enthusiast
90 Wine Advocate
(6/29/2016) "This medium to deeply-colored garnet/purple blend exudes aromas of warm blackberry, chocolate box, spice cake and licorice. The 2013 Samuel's Garden The Strapper Grenache Shiraz Mataro is dominated by Grenache in its medium to full-bodied style; it shows great great expression and is very spicy with some meatiness. The palate is velvety and possesses great length."

Upside "Free Rein" Central Coast Chardonay/Pinot Gris 2013

Normal retail is around $18-19. We have lowest price in the country on this rare white wine from Andrew Vingiello!
90 Wine Advocate
(10/2014) "A serious value that's made from equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, the 2013 Upside Free Rein (which is made by Andrew Vingiello of AP Vin) has pretty apple, citrus blossom and salty minerality to go with a medium-bodied, clean, crisp and decidedly delicious style on the palate. All co-fermented, with no malolactic fermentation, and aged on lees for five months in stainless steel, it's a no brainier purchase that will be a perfect meal starter over the coming year or so."

90 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(9/2014). "(Aged in large, old wooden tanks): Light yellow. Pungent, mineral-accented aromas of lemon pith and green apple, with subtle herbal and floral qualities adding complexity. Fleshy and smooth on entry, then tighter in the middle, offering refreshingly bitter lemon zest and quince flavors and a touch of anise. Closes on a minerally note, with very good clarity and length."

Bodegas Vetus "Flor de Vetus" Toro Red 2012

Best Vetus we've ever tasted. Delicious!
92 Our Score
92 Wine Advocate
(6/2014) "Made from 100% Tinta de Toro aged ten months in French and American oak, the full-bodied, complex, dry 2012 Flor de Vetus offers up notes of Provencal herbs, white chocolate and jammy black cherry and blackcurrant fruit. This opulent, chewy, voluptuously textured red comes from high-elevation (2,100 feet) vineyards and represents a stunning value. Drink it over the next 3-4 years."

Cantina di Oliena "Lanaitto" Isola dei Nuraghi 2013

Winemakers Notes
"Young wine with a strong bright colour. Intense red with purple tinges. It delivers delicate rose and violet sensors to the nose, accompanied by red, wild berry notes. In the mouth, the clear acidity and a pronounced but soft tannin are indications of the wine's young age. Red wine for all dishes. Thanks to its versatility, it can be matched with cold cut starters, first and second courses from the Mediterranean tradition and with rich fish dishes accompanied by sauces and spices."

Clos du Mont-Olivet "Vieilles Vignes" Cotes du Rhone Rouge 2013

89 Our Score

(6/2016) "Deep ruby. Spice- and smoke-accented cherry, raspberry and garrigue aromas, along with a subtle licorice nuance. Sappy, focused and energetic on the palate, offering gently sweet red fruit and peppery spice flavors that deepen as the wine opens up. Juicy acidity adds spine and back-end cut, and supple tannins frame a long, refreshingly spicy finish."

Jam Cellars "Butter" California Chardonnay 2015

88 Our Score
(6/2016) What is currently the most popular style of Chardonnay? Buttery! The folks at Jam Cellars have crafted a wine to please the masses with this Chardonnay that smells and tastes like, you guessed it, butter. Along with butter overtones, there are pretty aromas of tropical fruit, pear and gobs of vanilla. The palate is rich and creamy with pineapple, pear and lemon notes. The finish is a nice balance of lemon, vanilla and butter. This well-made Chardonnay will be hard to keep in stock!

Ciu Ciu "Gotico" Rosso Piceno Superiore 2010

90 Our Score
(12/2014) This is a very special treat from the Marche wine region. The organically farmed Ciu Ciu vineyard is located in the heart of the Rosso Piceno Superiore zone. A blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano, the nose is laced withdark plum, blackberry, herbal and spicy scents. Full in body with a big, juicy mouth presence. Velvety smooth tannins with a mineral laden finish from the calcareous, limestone rich soils of Rosso Piceno and great acidity from the cool Mediterranean breezes. Drinks beautifully now. Serve with simple pasta and red sauce dishes or sausage and peppers.

Casa Silva "1912 Vines" Colchagua Valley Sauvignon Gris 2014

90+ Our Score
90 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(6/2015) "Pale yellow. Smoky minerals, dried citrus fruits and jasmine on the fragrant nose. Spicy and precise, offering intense Meyer lemon and green apple flavors that flesh out and deepen with air. Powerful yet lithe and finely etched, finishing with excellent clarity and mineral-driven persistence. That 1912 designation refers to when the vines were planted, not how many of them are planted."
