Ramey "Ritchie Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay 2012

93 Wine Advocate
94+ Vinous, Antonio Galloni
97 Wine Enthusiast
(7/1/2015) "This wine is deliciously elegant yet decadently rich in all the right ways, from a prime, longtime vineyard source planted to vines over 40 years old. Honeyed apple comes to the fore amid lush, formidable layers of complexity and high-minded pursuit, never getting bogged down, the minerality perfectly pitched and the oak fully integrated."

Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage Champagne 2006

94 Wine Spectator
95 Wine Enthusiast
92 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
93 Wine Advocate
(3/2016) "Moët's 2006 Grand Vintage Brut blends 42% Chardonnay with 39% Pinot Noir and 19% Meunier. This cuvée opens with ripe and pretty intense as well as elegant and remarkably pure Chardonnay aromas; additionally, there are floral and refreshing chalky lemon and herbal flavors, and subtle notes of brioche and bread. This Champagne is full-bodied, intense and powerful, yet really fine and refreshing on the palate; it has nutty flavors and a lot of tension and chalky flavors. This is a dry and firmly structured cuvée of great expression, finesse and elegance. Still very young. Date of disgorgement was May 2014. Dosage is five grams per liter."

Andre Clouet Millesime Brut 2008

92 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(5/2013) "Clouet's 2008 Brut Millesime shows quite a bit more tension and focus than the 2007, hardly a surprise given then personality of the vintage. Bright, saline notes frame expressive red fruits, flowers and sweet spices. The 2008 Brut is a gorgeous wine with plenty of appeal today, but it will also develop beautifully in bottle. Stylistically it is less overt than the 2007 but places more emphasis on length. Brut Millesime is mostly Pinot, with 30-40% Chardonnay."

Reuling Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2011

92 Wine Spectator
92 Wine Enthusiast
(5/1/2013) "Joseph Swan and Araujo alum Matt Taylor made this wine with grapes from outside of Forestville, in the cooler southwestern part of the valley. It's a sumptuous Pinot Noir with a depth of raspberry, cherry, cola and mocha flavors, and earthier notes of mushrooms and oak for added complexity. Fine acidity and smooth tannins make it great to drink now and over the next 2-3 years."

Forgeron Cellars "Anvil" Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Only 239 cases produced of this Cabernet from Pepper Bridge (60%) and Minnick Hills (40%) vineyards. We managed to pry seven cases away from the winery and are thrilled to be offering them this month!
94 Wine Advocate
(5/6/2016) "The greatest wine I've tasted from this estate, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Anvil checks in as 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that was raised in new French oak barrels. It's a big, rich, decadently styled effort that offers beautiful red and black currants, cassis, underbrush, graphite and hints of wild herbs in a full-bodied, pure, layered and textured package that never comes across as heavy or cumbersome. Drink Date: 2020 - 2040."

Signorello Estate "Hope's Cuvee" Unfiltered Napa Valley Chardonnay 2014

Other stores sell this limited production beauty for between $70 and $86. At Vin Chicago, you'll pay a bunch less!
96 Wine Advocate
(10/29/2015) "The 2014 Chardonnay Hope's Cuvée, a selection of the best lots and barrels, is a stunning Chardonnay. There are 379 cases of this wine, which went through 44% malolactic and was aged in 56% new French oak. The wine shows plenty of orange blossom, honeysuckle, lemon custard and crushed rock notes. It is certainly very Burgundian and almost like a grand cru from the village of Puligny-Montrachet. Terrific stuff, with stunning texture and richness, this wine should drink well for another 5-7 years."

Hartford Court "Seascape Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2013

95 Wine Advocate
(10/29/2015) "The 2013 Pinot Noir Seascape Vineyard from the Sonoma Coast is a cuvée of 360 cases aged in 38% new French oak for 16 months prior to be bottled unfined and unfiltered. This is a magnificent Pinot, full-bodied, with notes of Asian spices as well as plum sauce, roasted meats, grilled herbs, earth and spice. Some blacker fruits and forest floor notes are also present in this distinctively Burgundian Côte de Nuits-like Pinot Noir. Drink it over the next 7-8 years."

K Vintners "The Hidden" Northridge Vineyard Wahluke Slope Syrah 2011

95 Wine Advocate
(6/2014) "Aged in 100% new 500 liter barrels, the 2011 Syrah The Hidden Northridge Vineyard is an incredible Syrah that gives up pure aromas and flavors of blackberry, ground pepper, minerality, and dried spices and hints of vanilla in its full-bodied, elegant and seamless profile. Slightly more mid-weight than prior vintages, yet with beautiful concentration and solid mid-palate depth, it has enough tannin and richness to evolve gracefully for over a decade as well."

Domaine Serene "Evenstad Reserve" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2011

91 Wine Enthusiast
(2/1/2015) "Light and elegantly crafted, this iconic release is the textbook example of well-made cool-vintage Oregon Pinot Noir. It's aromatic, floral and sillky. The tangy berry fruit is clean and ripe, though definitely on the lighter side. Pretty berry and cherry flavors are set against tart acids, with just a touch of milk chocolate from barrel aging."

Tenuta di Valgiano Colline Lucchesi 2013

93 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(11/2016) "The 2013 Tenuta di Valgiano is gorgeous, although it will need time in bottle to be at its most expressive. Dark raspberry, pomegranate, spice, mint and blood orange give the 2013 much of its exotic personality. The 2013 is a distinctly mid-weight Tenuta with bright acidity and considerable overall tension. I can't wait to see how the 2013 develops in bottle, as it has quite a bit of energy lying in reserve. Drink 2018 - 2033."
