Domaine Weinbach "Schlossberg" Grand Cru Riesling 2015

92+ Wine Advocate
92 James Suckling
(12/2016) "This is still an embryonic wine, but there's a lot of power and earthy-mineral character here and the kind of freshness that will give it great aging potential. A slight gooseberry touch to the long, powerful but clean finish. Made from biodynamically grown grapes."

Domaine Albert Mann Furstentum Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes Gewurztraminer 2012

92 Wine Spectator
93 Vinous, Ian D'Agata
93 Our Score
(11/2014) Observing organic and biodynamic practices, Domaine Albert Mann is viticulturally aligned with many of Alsace's best and most thoughtful growers. We tasted this dry wine with proprietor Jacky Barthelme (grandson of Alsatian vigneron Paul Blanck) and it really blew us away. Sourced from old vines within his Grand Cru "Furstentum" vineyard holdings, the wine is both pleasure giving and thought provoking. Classic Gewurz notes of potpourri, Asian spice, tropical flowers and fruits - including the defining lychee - all come into play. If you love exotic wines or are looking for the perfect pairing for Indian cuisine, do not miss this lovely and intriguing example of Gewurztraminer.

Domaine Meyer-Fonne "Sporen" Grand Cru Gewurztraminer 2011

94+ International Wine Cellar
(11/2012) "Bright golden-yellow. Knockout aromas of tangerine, lemon rind and spicy lemon jelly, all lifted by white flowers. Pure, deep flavors of citrus fruits and sweet brown spices are nicely lifted by refreshing acidity. No botrytized grapes here. This superb wine should age very well. These 40-year-old vines actually grow in the Obere-Sporen, which means Sporen du Haut (or "high" Sporen), where there aren't many owners. According to Meyer, the rich subsoil and small surface stones make for intense, profound, long-lived wines."

Domaine Marcel Deiss Riesling 2014

92 Wine Enthusiast
(11/2016) "Softer hints of chamomile and ripe apple play on the nose. The palate has some of the balmier qualities of chamomile tisane and a lively, friendly apple freshness. Acidity and fruit ripeness are harmoniously aligned, while citric freshness highlights herbal and apple peel glints even more. This is slender but smooth, lively but mellow and delicious."

Domaine Weinbach "Reserve" Pinot Blanc 2015

90 Wine Enthusiast
(8/1/2016) "White summer blossoms and ripe green pears make for a fresh scent. The palate lifts these notions with bright lemon acidity. All is buoyed by some residual carbon dioxide. Drink soon while this is at its aromatic height."

Charles Baur Alsace Pinot Gris 2014

90 Our Score
(9/2016) This excellent Alsatian Pinot Gris from Baur is about richness, plumpness and ripe fruit qualities. You'll find just a bare kiss of sweetness along with flavors of limestone, grey rocks, Bosc pear, guava, nectarine and tropical flowers. An excellent value to drink by itself or with rich chicken and fish dishes.

Audrey et Christian Binner "Les Saveurs" Alsace White Blend 2014

90 Our Score
(3/2016) The Binner estate was established in 1770 and the family owns nine hectares in Alsace, only six of which are under vine. They are a certified organic producer practicing biodynamic farming. They produce "natural wines" using little to no additives (including sulfer) and no technological manipulations. This "Saveurs" bottling is a gorgeous field blend of Riesling, Sylvaner, Auxerrois, Gewurztraminer & Pinot Gris. All of the grapes come into play in this highly aromatic, floral and spicy wine. Delicious green apple, pear, lemon drops, peach and lychee are complimented by minerality, fresh cut flowers and subtle spice. The palate is lean, dry and bright and the finish is very long. This is a must-have for Thai and Sushi BYOB's and is a perfect choice for spicy foods.

Emile Beyer "Tradition" Alsace Pinot Gris 2015

90 Our Score
(1/2017) A delicious and fleshy example of Pinot Gris from Christian Beyer, the 14th generation of his family to make wine in Alsace. With expressive notes of fruit cocktail, yellow flowers, river stone minerality and a concentrated mouthfeel, this offering gives loads of pleasure while maintaining a balanced and interesting structure.

Vignoble Clement Klur "Katz" Alsace Riesling 2014

91 Our Score
(9/2016) Clement Klur is a very small organic grower in Alsace. Sourced from 30-year old Riesling vines, this is a textured, bone dry Riesling with nervy minerality along with flavors of ripe lemon, green and red apple and tangerine. Sushi, stir fry or a citrus-based kale chicken salad will all work with this wine. An impressive example, especially at this price.
