San Salvatore Campania Falanghina 2015

91+ Our Score
(9/2016) Floral aromatics combined with pineapple, green apple and mineral. What puts this tasty white wine into the category of excellence is the wonderful viscosity and palate presence. The saline-like minerality (dare we say salty) combined with the tropical, white fruit and honied flavors are to die for. Quenching acidity make this a great pairing for seafood or vegetable dishes.

90+ Vinous, Ian D'Agata
(8/2015) "Pale yellow. Rich aromas of apple, herbs and flint. Very fresh and saline, showing a juicy mouthfeel and sneaky concentration to its stone fruit and herb flavors. Finishes with noteworthy persistence. Drinking window: 2015 - 2021."

De Angelis Lacrima Christi del Vesuvio Rosso 2013

90 Our Score
(5/2016) A blend of Piedirosso and Aglianico, Lacrima Christi is one of the most traditional wines in all of Italy - quite similar to the wines of ancient Rome. The 2013 De Angelis leads off with very juicy cherry/berry aromas and flavors that are loaded with volcanic minerality and hints of smoke and herbs. Full in body, it offers good freshness and an impressive depth of flavor. Pair with meaty red sauces.
