Leitz Geisenheimer Rothenberg Riesling Eiswein 2010

94 Vinous, Joel Payne
(1/2012) "Bright aromas of camomile tea, orange rind and lemon oil, plus a whiff of smoky botrytis. The supple black cherry flavor is animated by finely chiseled minerality. Dense yet vibrant, this is what eiswein should be in a vintage that produced very few examples of this quality."

Leitz Feinherb Rheingau Riesling QBA 2014

89 Our Score
(6/2016) After tasting this new wine from Rheingau master Johannes Leitz we were reminded of a statement we previously made... "No German producer is making better value Rieslings than Josie Leitz." He is putting out better sub-$15 wines than any of his neighbors, by far! Just a touch of sweetness, which is super yummy, balanced by a wonderful mouthfeel and a peppy finish.

88+ Our Score
(5/2017) This delicious Riesling, from Hallgarten in the Rheingau, is labeled Feinherb which indicates that it is a bit of a drier style wine. Light to medium in body, it offers up aromas and flavors of ripe pears, red apples and ripe peach. It is soft and easy drinking with a depth of minerality and hints of smoke and petrol. A steal for under ten bucks, drink this all summer long at your favorite BYOB spots!
