Belle Glos "Dairyman Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2012

Incredible value for one of the most sought after names in Pinot Noir!
89 Wine Spectator
(8/31/2014) "Intense, with rich, dense, vivid dark berry, rhubarb and mocha notes. A powerful expression of Pinot Noir that begs for some cellar time. Best from 2015 through 2023."

Domaine Le Galantin Bandol Rose 2015

What is better than a delicious bottle of rose on a nice day? How about a magnum!
89 Our Score
(4/2017) This delicious bottling from Domaine Le Galantin comes from Bandol, the premier appellation for rose production in Provence. Winemaker Celine Pascale took over winemaking duties from her father who started the winery and continues to practice organic farming methods and traditional production. It is a refreshing blend of Mourvedre, Grenache, and Cinsault that brings a light appearance but packs a punch. A generous palate shows zippy blood orange, juicy red berries and candied fruits while finishing crisp and dry. Pop this on the patio with a dozen oysters and some friends!

Schramsberg North Coast Blanc de Noirs Brut 2011

89 Wine Spectator
89 Wine Advocate
(12/27/2015) "The 2011 Blanc de Noir, 89% Pinot Noir and 11% Chardonnay, has seen 32% barrel fermentation. The wine shows notes of honeysuckle, crisp and poached pears, zesty acids and a broad, round, juicy mouthfeel. The Pinot Noir certainly gives it more body and maybe even some structure that's apparent in the mouth."

Chateau Montlandrie Cotes de Castillon 2009

89 Wine Advocate
"From the famed proprietor Denis Durantou, who is better known for his famous Pomerol, L-Eglise Clinet, this wine is a blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. Dense purple in color, with a boatload of tannin but also impressive levels of extract and richness, for a 2009 this wine needs some patience from its purchaser. It was more hedonistic from barrel, but it actually seems even more seriously endowed from bottle, and I would hold off drinking it for a year or so, as it should keep for at least a decade or more."

Chateau Tour des Termes St. Estephe 2009

89 Wine Spectator
(3/2012) "A fresh, lively style, with a hint of anise on the edges of the sappy damson plum and cherry pit notes. A mix of currant and pomegranate are backed by briar on the finish. This should be a solid buy for mid-term cellaring. Best from 2013 through 2022. 8,500 cases made."

Tenuta di Valgiano "Palistorti" Colline Lucchesi Rosso 2013

89+ Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(11/2016) "The Palistorti di Valgiano is quite powerful and austere in 2013. The flavors are bright and intense, but not fully expressive today. Sweet red cherry, floral and saline notes abound in the 2013, a wine that will benefit from another year or two in bottle. Drink: 2018 - 2023."

Herve Villemade "Les Saules"Cour-Cheverny Blanc 2013

89 Our Score
(3/2017) Herve Villamade converted the farming of his family's Domaine du Moulin to an organic regime in the early 2000s, shortly after Cour-Cheverny was granted recognition as an AOC. The local grape, Romorantin, is the only permitted grape varietal of Cour-Cheverny AOC; this is unique from the wines of the larger Cheverny AOC, which includes the commune of Cour-Cheverny, and are primarily made up of Sauvignon Blanc or Gamay. Romorantin shows a distinct vegetal quality coupled with fleshy orchard fruit, delicate herbal notes, salinity, and freshly inflated beach ball meets petrol minerality. This bottle begs to be paired with fresh oysters.

Ferrari-Carano Sonoma County Chardonnay 2014

89 Our Score
(9/2016) If you're looking for a classically-styled California Chardonnay that offers pleasing oak and buttery nuances while retaining delicious fruit and balance, then look no further! Nearly full-bodied, this richly textured wine was barrel fermented and then aged mostly in neutral French oak (only 20% new). The result is a soft, easy drinking white showing flavors of golden apples and lemon cream layered with oak-driven notes of candy corn, caramel, baking spice and a slight hint of butterscotch. Ferrari-Carano is one of the quintessential California Chardonnays and this 2014 bottling proves why!

Holger Koch Kaiserstuhl Spatburgunder 2015

89 Our Score
(1/2017) Holger Koch's "Kaiserstuhl" is an entry level village bottling comes from his best old vine Spatburgunder that he inherited. While slightly more rustic in its charm than its Pinot Noir designated siblings, this wine is still amazingly bright and pure, with crunchy cranberry and black cherry flavors. The palate is very lithe with energizing acidity and faint wisps of black tea. Its freshness and purity can't help but bring a smile to your face.

Le Sot de l'Ange "Rouge G" Vin de France Rouge 2015

89 Our Score
(2/2017) Le Sot de l'Ange's "Rouge G" is a playful bottling of Gamay and Grolleau. Bottled without SO2, and done entirely in stainless steel, this wine is all about freshness and purity. The fruit is intensely bright and extremely giving, leading to any number of pairing, or just straight chugging. This is definitely a "Wine of Thirst!"
