Chappellet "Pritchard Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

97 James Suckling
98+ Wine Advocate
(12/21/2015) "The flagship wine, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, 6% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot aged 22 months in 100% new French oak. This is a 40- to 50-year wine and simply compelling. Inky bluish/purple with a stunning nose of white flowers, crushed rock, blueberry, black raspberry and cassis, this is a great, great effort in this vintage, which is not that surprising, but this youthful wine still seems in its infancy and certainly has huge upside to it. It's very deep and full-bodied, but still coiled very tight and restrained, this should turn out to be a tour de force and a great offering in 2013. Don't touch it for another 5-7 years."

Krug "Grande Cuvee" Brut Champagne NV

95 Wine Spectator
(10/31/2016) "This mouthwatering Champagne shows a lovely sense of finesse, with firm acidity deftly married to a rich profile of crème de cassis, toasted brioche and lime blossom, accented by hints of café au lait, singed orange peel and exotic spice. Long and plush on the finish. Disgorged 2014. Drink now through 2024."

Seavey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

97 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(10/2015) "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate has turned out beautifully. Exotic and compelling, even in just its bouquet, the 2013 is utterly captivating. Iron, smoke, blood and a host of ferrous notes open up first, followed by waves of dark fruit. The 2013 is powerful and intense to the core, but full of personality that is only in need of more time in bottle to be fully expressive. The dense, explosive finish is nearly impossible to resist, but this vivid, ample Cabernet Sauvignon is going to require patience. The only question is how much. Drinking window: 2020 - 2033."

Orin Swift "Mercury Head" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

96 Wine Advocate
(10/2016) "A spectacular wine, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Mercury Head is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the Taplin and Morisoli vineyards and several Atlas Peak vineyards, aged 18 months in 50% new French oak. There are 5,461 cases of this wine. The wine is a classic, broad-shouldered, compelling Cabernet Sauvignon with beautiful blueberry and crème de cassis fruit, Christmas fruitcake, cedar wood, white chocolate notes and a hint of graphite and background toast. It is ripe, full-bodied, pure, multidimensional and a mouthful of succulent Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next 20+ years. Drink: 2016 - 2036."

Silver Oak Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

This is the highest rated bottling of Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet in two decades! Awarding 92 points, James Laube posts in his blog… "It's not often that a venerable 40-year-old winery suddenly makes one of its best wines, perhaps in decades. But that may be the case with Silver Oak and its 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon." Winery price is $110. We're twenty bucks less!
92 Wine Spectator
(June 15, 2015) "Shows a good touch of bottle age and a notably oaky presence, marked by dill, vanilla bean and coconut notes wrapped around a rich, authoritative, full-bodied core of dark berry, licorice, dusty, loamy earth and espresso. Drink now through 2028."

Darioush "Signature" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

93 Wine Enthusiast
(12/31/2016) "A showcase of the vintage and varietal, this is a luxuriously thick and decadent wine, integrated in tannin and oak, with a length on the palate. Chocolate truffle, pencil lead and tobacco all have parts to play, meeting succulent raspberry and blueberry."

Chateau Troplong Mondot St. Emillion 2012

94 James Suckling
94 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
96 Wine Advocate
(4/2015) "The 2012 is another truly great wine from Troplong Mondot. It's always sentimental to taste this wine, realizing that proprietress Christine Valette (the larger-than-life heart and soul behind this estate) has passed away. She was one of the bright, shining stars of Bordeaux. Nevertheless, her legacy is certainly well-established, and the quality of this wine is beyond reproach. Inky bluish purple, its great notes of cassis, blackberry, licorice are followed by a full-bodied, opulently textured wine with stunning concentration, purity and overall balance. It should drink well for 20-25 years and turn out to be one of the great superstars of 2012. Their 63-acre vineyard was cropped at 31 hectoliters per hectare, producing a final blend of 90% Merlot and 10 Cabernet Sauvignon that achieved 14.2% alcohol."

Pierre Gimonnet "Special Club" Brut 1er Cru 2009

93 Wine Enthusiast
93 Wine Advocate
93 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(11/2015) "The 2009 Brut Spécial Club is pretty much the polar opposite of the 2008 taste alongside it. Expansive layers of tropical-infused fruit wrap around the palate as this sensual, flamboyant Champagne shows off its personality. The 2009 doesn't quite deliver the visceral thrill of the best Gimonnet wines, but it does offer plenty of pleasure today. This is a typical 2009 Champagne built on ripeness and immediacy. Once again, Cramant Chardonnay is the core of the blend. Fruit sources are 60% Cramant, 24% Chouilly and 16% Cuis. Dosage is 4.5 grams/liter. Disgorged: March 2015."

94 Wine Advocate
(12/30/2016) "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley has a dense opaque purple color, a kiss of blackberry and cassis fruit, a full-bodied mouthfeel with ripe tannin and a long finish. It is very Caymus in its immediate accessibility, but has plenty of staying power and depth. This is lush, full, intense and pure. Drink it over the next 15 or so years. Drink Date: 2016 - 2031."

Dancing Hares "Mad Hatter" Napa Valley Proprietary Red 2013

94 Wine Advocate
(12/2015) "The 2013 Proprietary Red Mad Hatter, 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot, is a big-time winner. It has a gorgeously deep ruby/purple color, a sweet kiss of licorice, blackcurrants, black cherries, camphor and incense. The wine is fragrant, with supple tannins, an opulent lushness and a total hedonistic and intellectual turn-on. Drink it over the next 10-12 years."
