Produttori del Barbaresco "Riserva Pora " Barbaresco 2011

95 Wine Spectator
92 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(12/2015) "The 2011 Barbaresco Riserva Pora is sweet, round and sensual. Beautifully layered in the glass, the Pora is absolutely exquisite, with plenty of sweet red cherry, plum, mint and spice notes woven throughout. The Pora is typically the most open of the Produttori's nine Riservas, as it is once again this year. There is so much to like here. Drinking window: 2018 - 2031"

La Ca' Nova Montefico Barbaresco 2011

94 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(10/2014) "The 2011 Barbaresco Montefico Vigna Bric Mentina is marked by veins of underlying chalkiness, minerality and acidity, all classic signatures of Montefico. Intensely floral and lifted, the 2011 graces the palate with white pepper, orange rind, rose petal, kirsch and mint as it fills out all the register from top to bottom. Far from an easygoing 2011, the Bric Mentina is going to need a few years in bottle for the tannins to soften. This is an absolutely gorgeous Barbaresco from La Ca' Nova."

Albino Rocca "Montersino" Barbaresco 2012

93 Wine Spectator
(9/2016) "Aromas of rose, tar and cherry, along with hints of licorice and spice, enliven this pretty red. Vibrant acidity keeps this elegant, while the finish fades gracefully, showing sweet fruit and licorice details. Drink now through 2025. 216 cases made."

Carlo Giacosa "Luca" Barbaresco Riserva 2010

92+ Our Score
(9/2015) The 2010 Luca is a show stopper. We were immediately impressed with the intensity, power and verve it displays. With floral aromas, dried red fruit, subtle spices and organic earth notes, it is unmistakably Barbaresco - and a great one at that! Mushroom, red rocks and sun-dried red earth flavors lead the way at the front, followed by notes of salumi, dried flowers, plum and fig. Everything is classic about this wine, except for the price. In 5 to 10 years, once the tannins soften and integrate, this wine will be drinking even better.

Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco 2012

92 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
93 Wine Spectator
93 Wine Advocate
(5/17/2016) "Most of Produttori del Barbaresco's production is dedicated to their so-called base wine (which enjoy a very strong following throughout the wine world). The 2012 Barbaresco is a beautifully ripe and generous expression that exudes dark layers of black fruit, smoke, leather, grilled herb and Teriyaki smoke. This edition feels a bit thicker and denser compared to past vintages but Produttori's magic truly comes through the longer the wine ages. Given the fleshiness that will potentially evolve with time, this wine is geared up for a prolonged cellar life."

Earthshaker "L'Amis" Barbaresco 2012

89+ Our Score
(9/2015) A picture perfect Barbaresco! This delivers everything you would expect from a classically styled Barbaresco. Ripe, but not overly ripe red fruit flavors of plum, cassis, and tart cherry rush forth against a silky texture. On the finish the silk fades and takes on a pleasantly tannic grip. Exciting notes of tobacco, cola, kirsch, and a touch of pepper round out this excellent entry level Barbaresco.
