Beckham "Dow's" Chehalem Mountain Pinot Noir 2011

New low price! Regular Vin Chicago retail - $38.99!
Winemakers Notes
"The premeir Pinot Noir bottling in the Beckham stable, "Dow" has been a family name, and this is dedicated to proprietor Andrew and Annedria's son. De-stemmed and whole berry fermented, this estate-grown Pinot Noir aged in 40% new french oak for 15 months, exhibiting rich notes of black cherry and ripe raspberry backed with earth and spice."

Patricia Green Cellars "Lia's Vineyard" Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir 2014

Winemakers Notes
"The Mariafeld, Dijon 115 and Pommard lends a spicy note to the aromatics, a noticeable lift of red fruit and brightness in the mid-palate and a sturdier base of tannins. If there is a single vineyard Pinot Noir that we make that has more immediate appeal while still having down-the-road sort of chops this has to be it. This has forward, sweet dark fruit, quite a lot of texture and just enough finishing tannin to pull it all in at the end."

Beckham Estate Vineyard Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir 2013

90-91 Our Score
(3/2016) The 2013 Beckham Estate Pinot Noir has impressive depth and weight. A mix of delicious ripe fruit greets the senses with notes of wild cherry, strawberry cranberry and rhubarb. There is a sense of sweetness to the fruit, similar to that of cherry pie. The complexity of secondary notes is very complimentary to the fruit with notes of baking spices, pie crust, pine needles, dried porcini mushroom, cocoa dust and baked earth. The texture is smooth and silky as it glides along the palate towards a pleasant and long finish. The Beckham's only produced 250 cases of this beauty. Easily worth a case purchase to enjoy over the next 5 - 8 years.
