Chateau Thivin "Cuvee Zaccharie" Cote de Brouilly 2015

95 James Suckling
(2/2017) "Ripe and rich aromas of blackberries and blueberries. Tar undertones. Full-bodied, very structured and flavorful with lots of round tannins and a fruity finish. This is aged about 10 months in barrel of which about 5% is new. Needs a year or two more of bottle age before drinking but already very impressive."

Chateau Thivin Cote de Brouilly 2015

93 Vinous, Josh Raynolds

(8/2016) "Bottled 3 weeks prior to my visit, the 2015 Côte de Brouilly was very closed on the nose though you can tell that it is packed to the rafters with fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with intense red and black fruit, superb mineralité and harmony, gradually building in the mouth with a compelling, tensile finish. What a fantastic Beaujolais in the making - about as good as it gets to be quite honest. If I taste a better QPR wine this year...no, just impossible."

92 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(12/2014) "Youthfully lurid ruby. Sexy, high-pitched aromas of red and dark berries and floral oils. Spicy, penetrating and emphatically fruity, offering intense, minerallaced raspberry and cherry flavors along with notes of rose pastille and allspice. Closes silky and very long, with building floral and mineral notes and supple tannins that fold smoothly into the wine's juicy fruit."
