Patricia Green Cellars "Mysterious" Pinot Noir 2014

94 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
92 Wine Advocate
(4/23/2016) "The 2014 Pinot Noir Mysterious comes from the Dundee Hills; it includes 55% whole cluster fermentation and was matured in 33% new oak barrels. It has a very perfumed bouquet with blueberry and redcurrant aromas given lift by the new oak, a touch of sous-bois developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, quite sensual in the mouth thanks to its silkiness, very cohesive with cranberry, wild strawberry and a pinch of black pepper. It feels so lithe with a persistent finish that lasts 30 seconds. Like many to their 2014s, I love the purity here and it should give a decade's worth of pleasure, possibly more."

Arterberry Maresh "Maresh Vineyard" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2014

95 Wine Advocate
(6/2016) "The 2014 Maresh Vineyard Pinot Noir has a beautiful bouquet with wonderful precision. The vine age does show through here (44-years-old now) with crisp detailed red berry fruit that just exudes Pinoté. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, very well-judged acidity, touches of truffle and undergrowth tincturing the red berry fruit that fans out wonderfully towards the long and satisfying finish. This is a great Pinot Noir from an estate that seems to have thrived in 2014. Drink: 2018 - 2035."

J. Christopher "Sandra Adele" Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2014

94 Our Score
(9/2016) We were lucky enough to sample this very serious and structured Pinot alongside some well-known (and rather expensive!) Pinot from storied Burgundy appellations like Gevrey Chambertin, Nuits St. George and Chambolle-Musigny. For our money, this wine smoked the French bottles, most of which sold for more than twice the price. It is a rocking good bottle of Pinot, revealing deep, wild strawberries, Rainier cherry, fresh red florals, talc, clay and dark rock minerals. The structure is world class, showing high acidity, medium-plus tannins and a long, earth-driven finish. It is a wine that will drink better with a good long decant or after another 3-5 years in the cellar.

(6/2016) A very cool story of a great Pinot Noir with a Chicago area connection. Tom Fitzpatrick is a UC Davis educated winemaker who has been working for over 15 years in Burgundy, Oregon, New Zealand and Napa Valley. Born and raised in Chicago's western suburbs, Tom is a graduate of Buffalo Grove high school. He and his wife France, whose roots are from Chicago and the south suburbs, purchased a special site in the Dundee Hills back in 2008 from Gary Andrus. An elegant and graceful wine, it leads off with very pretty aromas of baking spice and raspberry. After breathing for a few minutes, look for woodsy aromas to join in the chorus. Medium in body, its youthful tannins shed rather quickly allowing for a wonderfully silky finish. An excellent Pinot Noir.

Beckham "Amphora" Dundee Hills Pinot Gris 2014

Winemakers Notes
"The A.D. Beckham wines are a convergence of two passions- ceramics and wine. The terra cotta amphorae used to make these wines are handcrafted in Andrew's studio on our vineyard. This wine was fermented on skins for 30 days in terra cotta, partially aged in terra cotta and Acacia barrels. This pinot gris looks like a Rosé. It's wonderfully fragrant, with a nose of baking spices, then ripe peaches. The palate is pomegranate with a mineral-like texture.. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Only 97 cases made. Dinking window: now through 2020."

Patricia Green Cellars "Freedom Hill-Dijon Clone 115" Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2014

(3/2016) We have a soft spot in our heart for Freedom Hill Vineyard. Planted in 1982 and still managed by its original proprietors, it is one of the top Pinot Noir sites in the entire state of Oregon. Patty produced only 441 cases of this clonal-specific bottling and it completely blew us away. Our eyes water when we think of what such a superb wine would cost if it hailed from Burgundy. This wine has it all - dark red fruit concentration, a lusciously textured mouthfeel and an age-worthy structure. Such nuance of flavor, power and complexity make this is world class Pinot Noir and an absolute steal.

Arterberry Maresh "Weber Vineyard" Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2014

93 Wine Advocate
(6/2016) "The 2014 Pinot Noir Weber Vineyard comes from vines planted in 1983. It has a very refined bouquet with red cherry, wild strawberry, sous-bois and subtle floral notes - very complex and classy. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, nicely structured with a gentle grip. The fruit veers towards the darker side of the spectrum towards the finish, with blackberry and cranberry fruit, long and edgy. Classy, composed and cool, this is how to make world-class Pinot Noir. Drink: 2017 - 2030."

(9/30/2015) "Broad and expressive, this is a fleshy but not heavy style, brimming with blueberry, plum, peach and spice flavors that mingle effortlessly against nubby tannins on the long finish. Drink now through 2022. 150 cases made."

Arterberry Maresh Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2013

90+ Our Score
91 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(10/2015) "Bright red. Aromas of cherry pit and dark berry skin, with exotic Indian spice and woodsmoke notes adding complexity. Juicy, concentrated and smooth, offering gently sweet, palate-caressing blackberry and rose pastille flavors that show good depth and power for the year. Finishes smooth, sappy and long, with dusty tannins coming in slowly to add grip. A big success for an entry-level bottling from this vintage."
