Day Wines "Johan Vineyard" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2014

92 Wine Spectator
91 Our Score
92 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(12/2016) "Deep red. Sexy, spice-accented aromas of candied red berries, incense and lavender pick up a smoky mineral note with aeration. Sweet and incisive on the palate, offering juicy raspberry and floral pastille flavors and suggestions of blood orange and spicecake. Finishes silky, sweet and very long; discreet tannins come in slowly to contribute shape and gentle grip."

Evesham Wood Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir 2013

90+ Our Score
(3/2016) Evesham Wood is a small family-owned winery founded in 1986 in Willamette Valley's Eola Hills. The original owners recently sold the estate to their winemaker and his wife who are preserving the gorgeous small production, terroir-driven wines for which the estate is known. This 2013 shows all the classic markers of the vintage with very pretty aromatics of bright red fruit, crushed flower petal and earthy minerality. The palate is lean, bright and quite refreshing with subtle notes of baking spice that linger on the finish. Pair this beauty with baked salmon or ham.

Evesham Wood "Blanc des Puits Sec" Eola-Amity Hills White Blend 2014

90 Our Score
(3/2016) This delicious blend of 85% Pinot Gris and 15% Gewurztraminer comes from the Evesham Wood estate's certified organic vineyard "Le Puits Sec" planted in 1986. Produced in stainless steel tanks, this is a crisp and dry white filled with clean flavors of pear, peach and a touch of lemon zest. The palate is medium-bodied and well-balanced with just a touch of spicy Gewurztraminer flavor coming through on the finish with notes of rose petal and honeysuckle. A great choice to welcome in Spring!
