Chateau Saint Cosme "Valbelle" Gigondas 2013

93 Wine Spectator
93 Wine Advocate
(3/2016) "A big, rich, medium to full-bodied effort, the 2013 Gigondas Cuvee Valbelle is 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah that saw the same vinification and elevage as the three single vineyard releases. It offers classic notes of graphite, black currants, toasted spice and lavender, to go with a superb mid-palate, beautiful fruit intensity and a great finish. While slightly more approachable than the single vineyard releases it still will be better with short term cellaring and drink nicely through 2025."

Domaine Raspail-Ay Gigondas 2012

92 Our Score
93 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
90 Wine Advocate
(1/2015) "Some of my favorite Gigondas come from proprietor Dominique Ay of Domaine Raspail Ay. The 2012 Gigondas is outstanding. Offering up an elegant, perfumed style, with pretty strawberry, raspberry, spice-box and menthol, this beauty flows onto the palate with medium-bodied richness and depth, integrated acidity and a clean, classy finish. It will continue to drink nicely through 2024."

Chateau Saint Cosme Gigondas 2014

92 Wine Spectator
(9/30/2016) "Sports solid, charcoal-edged grip from the get-go, with roasted alder and savory notes forming a robust frame around the chewy-edged currant, plum and bitter cherry paste flavors. The long, dark, smoldering finish lets the woodsy and herb accents stride through. Shows the cool-weather profile of the vintage. Best from 2018 through 2024."

Xavier Vignon Gigondas 2015

89-91 Wine Advocate
(12/2016) "The 2015 Gigondas (95% Grenache and 5% Mourvèdre) is a more medium-bodied, pretty wine that has an approachable feel in its ripe plum and blueberry fruits, violets and peppery herb aromas and flavors. It has ripe, supple tannin and good mid-palate depth, and it should drink nicely right out of the gate."

Domaine Palon Gigondas 2015

91+ Our Score
(3/2017) From the outrageously good 2015 vintage, this beauty tastes a heck of a lot more expensive than $18! The wine blends 75% Grenache with 15% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre from a property neighboring famed Gigondas grower Santa Duc. A special find at this price, the 2015 Palon is drinking great now and will continue to do so for the next 5-10 years.
