Ca dei Frati "I Frati" Lugana 2015

91 Our Score
(2/2017) Lugana is a small DOC region located near the southern shore of Italy's Lake Garda, just west of Bardolino and Valpolicella. The grape here is called Trebbiano di Lugana (aka Turbiana) and is closely related to the Marche's Verdicchio varietal. What you really need to know is that the wine is fantastic, with a crisp, lively palate and a great texture. Look for yummy fruit flavors of fresh pear, peach and tropical notes with a salty sea-breeze essence. It's as if you had a fruit salad that spilled in the ocean. Pair it with all sorts of seafood dishes. Bon appetit!
