Guy Breton Regnie 2014

91 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(8/2016) "Brilliant ruby. Mineral-tinged aromas of black raspberry, cherry and lavender pastille, along with a hint of white pepper in the background. Lithe and appealingly sweet, offering dark berry and spicecake flavors lifted by juicy acidity. Shows very good clarity and minerally cut on the finish, which is framed by sneaky, harmonious tannins."

90 Wine Advocate
(6/2014) "The 2013 Regnie comes from 35- and 100-year-old vines on granite and sand soils. It has a sedate bouquet that lets you come to it, rather than it leaping out of the glass at you. The palate is fleshy and ripe on the entry with succulent wild strawberry and cranberry fruit, well-judged acidity and surprising density on the finish for a Regnie. There is an engaging focus here, although it will repay a couple of years in the cellar. Drink 2016-2022."
