Patricia Green Cellars "Estate" Ribbon Ridge Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2014

"Ribbon Ridge can produce wines of incredible delicacy and wines of enormous power. Our Estate Vineyard bottling has always fallen into the latter category. This is Pinot Noir for those with darker souls and, perhaps, some devious intentions. Don't bring this bottle home to your mama because she is going to have a talk with you later." -Patricia Green-
92+ Our Score
(3/2016) We have featured Patty's "Estate" bottling for many years but, this is her best vintage yet! We love the wild strawberry, cherry and rhubarb notes and were bowled over by the dense, rich mouthfeel. Getting just enough structure from the grapes without extracting too much tannin, she really dialed it in with this one. That serious structure allows this Pinot Noir to drink (and age) like many wines twice its price.

Omero Willamette Valley Pinot Gris 2015

90 Our Score
(3/2017) Chad Stock is the mad scientist behind Minimus wines. His day job is Omero Wines, were he focuses on making slightly more traditional offerings. The fruit for this bottling came from the organically farmed Omero Vineyard which was planted on Ribbon Ridge in 2009. 15% of the Pinot Gris grapes were fermented on their skins for 20 days and then aged in French Barrels. The resulting wine is a Pinot Gris with great depth and structure, featuring plenty of phenolic pithy notes of red apple and peach skin. Gentle smoky tones add further nuance. This is a very clean and well-made example of the style.

Trisaetum "Estate" Ribbon Ridge Riesling 2014

94 Wine Enthusiast
92 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(1/2017) "Brilliant straw-yellow. Vibrant mineral-tinged aromas of lime pink grapefruit and jasmine pick up a discreet herbal element as the wine opens up. Concentrated yet lively and sharply focused offering intense citrus and orchard fruit flavors that expand and slowly deepen on the back half. Dusty mineral and citrus zest notes linger on the intense clinging finish which features a suave floral flourish. This vibrant wine checks in at a very low 11 percent alcohol."
