Tierra Divina "Old Vine" Valle de Uco Malbec 2014

91 Our Score
(11/2016) Patrick Campbell's best effort yet for this bottling yet! The striking label will be familiar to long time Vin Chicago customers as we love Patrick's wines, especially his handsoff bottlings from Argentina. Patrick says this is the best vintage he's ever made of this wine. Coming from Patrick, that means something. Black raspberry, smoke, coffee, cocoa, vanilla, toast, supple - 55 year old vines from two sites - low yields!

Recuerdo Uco Valley Malbec 2012

91 Wine & Spirits
91 James Suckling
90 Wine Advocate
(4/2014) "The 2012 Recuerdo Malbec, from young vines in Vista Flores in the Uco Valley, has a complex bouquet of dried flowers, raspberries, blueberries and sweet vanilla. This pure Malbec from stony and sandy soils is aged in mostly third-use oak barrels with some wine kept in vats in order to preserve the fruit and freshness of the wine. The palate is medium-bodied, with great acidity and freshness, pure, focused flavors and great length. Superb for the price. Bravo! Drink 2014-2018."

Dona Paula Uco Valley Estate Malbec 2014

The quality of this high-altitude Malbec will knock your socks off. Thanks to the winery's special 15 bottle case, we're able to offer it for $2 per bottle less than last year!
90 Our Score
(5/2016) It's hard to believe a wine with a price this low can give so much satisfaction. The previous two vintages earned 93 and 92 point scores from James Suckling. To our palates, this bottling is even better. Sourced from two high altitude vineyards in the Uco Valley (one at 3700 feet, the other at 4430 feet!), the 2014 Doña Paula provides perfectly ripened Malbec aromas of blackberry, violet and fresh berries. The color is deep crimson, nearly black. The fruit is rich, with soft tannins that shed rather quickly - especially when paired with a nice steak. The finish is long, with nuances of raspberry, cocoa powder and coffee making an appearance. Fresh, clean and wonderful. An incredible value here.
