Camille Giroud Vosne-Romanee 2010

Burghound's review was tasted out of barrel in 2012. We tasted this out of bottle in November 2015 and it blew us away!
89-92 Burghound
92 Our Score
(11/2015) The grapes for this bottling are purchased from one grower who owns an old-vine parcel in the lieu-deit of Chalandins. This is important to note, as this is what makes this a truly great "village-level" wine and an excellent value for high-quality Burgundy. After first opening, the wine shows it's smoky and spicy character with a hint of button mushroom and dried cherries. After some time, it really opens up and the gorgeous fruit emerges with layers of complexity from spcies, earth and minerality. The palate is round, rich and precise with impeccable balance and an extremely long finish. Our sample bottle continued to improve during four days of tasting!

Domaine Francois Confruon-Gindre Vosne-Romanee 2014

93 Our Score
(11/2016) Quality Vosne-Romanée typically starts at around $60/bottle, making this wine is an excellent value! Black cherry, raspberry, red florals, fresh ground coffee, sage and wet leaves create a complex Pinot Noir that offers youthful appeal. The wine is reserved, but texturally giving, with spice, grip and lift.
