Noella Morantin "Lot 118" Chez Charles" Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2013

92 Our Score
(3/2015) Located in the Touraine district of the Loire, right next to staff favorite Clos Roche Blanche. Noella Morantin is another huge proponent of the ?natural? style of wine making. One look at the color of this wine is a dead giveaway to that philosophy. Unfiltered and glorious in its natural state, with intense flavors of citrus and peach. The wine has searing high acid, with a fleshy green texture that is mouth coating. Utterly delectable and able to fulfill a wide range of food pairings, but also fun on its own!

Domaine Hippolyte Reverdy Sancerre 2015

91 Our Score
(9/2016) Like the label on the bottle, the Hippolyte Reverdy Sancerre is classic in style. 2015 was a ripe vintage, resulting in fleshy grapefruit, red apple and peach notes in addition to the traditional flavors, minerality and acidity. Imported by Kermit Lynch, this is a great Sancerre.

Desparada "Fragment" Santa Ynez Sauvignon Blanc 2015

91 Our Score
(4/2016) Quickly becoming a Vin Chicago favorite, this vintage challenged star winemaker Vailia Esh with decreased yields due to drought but rewarded her (and you) with even more lush concentration than previous iterations. Aromas and flavors are explosive and fresh. Ripe peach and punchy citrus immediately envelop your palate and stay strong through the finish where they meet with a touch of grass and cream. Enjoy with beautiful weather, convivial company and/or with spring mushroom soup. This is a very unique, rich style of Sauvignon Blanc that deserves your attention.

Tinel-Blondelet "L'Arret Buffatte" Pouilly-Fume 2013

90 Our Score
(4/2015) A big Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc here. Grapefruit, lemon and lime flavors are intertwined with a gun flint minerality. Rich in structure, it offers a full mid-palate and a long, smokey, citrus and saline influenced finish.

Frog's Leap Rutherford Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2015

90 Our Score
(12/2016) This is a great bottle of Napa Sauvignon Blanc. Produced entirely from certified organic grapes grown exclusively on Frog's Leap's Rutherford estate (a rarity at this price), this is as good as $20 Napa Sauvignon gets. Delicious flavors of honeydew melon, peach and grapefruit are followed by complexities of sage and grass. A rich mouthfeel and a bright, balanced finish.

Domaine Paul Cherrier Sancerre 2014

90 Our Score
(11/2015) Classic Sancerre aromas of citrus and flint. Lime and passionfruit come through on the palate. Such a fresh finish with racy acidity, mineral and structure. Given the small harvest of 2014 Sancerre this is an amazing value at $20.
