K Vintners "Art Den Hoed" Columbia Valley Viognier 2015

90 Our Score
(10/2016) This is bold, complex and well-balanced Viognier from the warmest vintage in Yakima Valley winemaking history. Barrel-aged on the lees for six months, the first whiff is like a bag full of nuts! It takes a few swirls for the rest of the aromas to develop, and once they do it is just what you would expect from Viognier in a top vintage - flowers, peach and honey. Nicely honeyed and quite enticing on the palate. Yum!

Maison Bleue Winery "Notre Vie" Yakima Valley Viognier 2011

89 International Wine Cellar
94 Wine Enthusiast
"This Viognier is easily Maison Bleue's best yet, and it sets a high standard for every Viognier in the state. It's superrich and concentrated without being fat, jammy, bitter or hot. The explosion of citrus, stone fruit and light tropical fruit flavors seems to extend indefinitely on the finish. Details of mineral, baking spice and honeysuckle add interest." (Washington)

Consilience Santa Barbara County Viognier 2013

90+ Our Score
(3/2016) The word "consilience" refers to the melding of principles from different disciplines, usually science and the humanities, to form a theory. Winemaker Brett Escalera uses his master's degree in Agricultural Chemistry and his love of the vine - learned from his winemaking grandfathers - to produce the beautiful Viognier, sourced from Camp 4 Vineyard. Aromatically tantalizing with notes of lemon, white flowers, vanilla, banana and melon, this mouth-wateringly good Viognier is the real deal.

Tabali Limari Valley Reserva Viognier 2013

88+ Our Score
(2/2015) Sourced from coastal vineyards in northern Chile's Limari Valley, the Tabali Reserva Viognier is one of the better examples of this variety we've tasted in some time. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, the wine is full of pure, clean and delicious Viognier fruit flavors of peach, pear and citrus. The close proximity to the cool breezes of the Pacific Ocean helps the grapes retain bright acidity that shines through on the crisp, fruity and refreshing finish. Very well made and an excellent value. Enjoy with fresh seafood and lighter chicken dishes.

Winemakers Notes
"Swooping in to rescue your palate from the ordinary, this sleek, rich Viognier will excite the senses and tickle your fancy. Flirtatious green apple, honeysuckle and white peach aromas playfully engage with flavors of pear and melon. This full-bodied, balanced Viognier will stand up to rich dishes such as roasted chicken in a white lemon cream sauce, grilled striped bass with plums and potato mushroom papillotes, or crunchy shrimp cakes."
