Minimus "SM2" Applegate Valley White Blend 2015

(10/2016) This is winemaker Chad Stock's second incarnation of his SM2 bottling. For this go around, the Sauvignon Blanc is co-fermented with a bit of Viognier and then aged for 10 months in Acacia barrels. This unusual blend, coupled with the aging process, perfectly melts all these components into a beautifully seamless wine with great texture, explosive aromatics and plenty of nervy acidiy. A unique wine that is equally thought provoking as it is delicious!

Mullineux "Old Vine" Swartland White 2014

Primarily Chenin Blanc, with Clairette, Viognier and Semillon, this stuff is delicious!

(11/2015) "The 2014 Old Vine White is just a peach of a wine. It is fairly innocuous at first, saunters around for bit, minding its own business. Perhaps your attention is lowered. Then it evolves these wonderful aromas of almond, beeswax and just a hint of creme brulée. The palate is very well balanced with fine acidity, perhaps not quite as complex as the nose at full flight, but it delivers impressive, almost disarming persistence on the ginger-tinged finish. You will polish off a bottle quicker than you wish."

Mestres "Coquet" Gran Reserva Brut Nature Cava 2009

(8/2015) Wow! What a great bottle of bubbly! The Cava house of Mestres is based in the village of Sant Sadurní dAnoia, right in the heart of the finest area for Cava in Penedès. This bone-dry sparkler spent 40 months on its lees. (Most Champagne spends only 15 months!) The blend is a traditional 40% Xarello, 30% Macabeo and 30% Parellada, some of which is aged in old chestnut barrels. With a wonderfully rich texture, precise acidity and flavors of honeyed, nutty orchard fruit, this serious bubbly could easily be mistaken for a $40 Champagne!

Day Wines "Vin de Days Blanc" Willamette Valley White Blend 2016

(3/2017) The newly release Vin de Days Blanc is an Alsatian inspired field blend of 42% Pinot Blanc, 16% Pinot Gris, 16% Riesling, 14% Muller Thurgau and 11% Muscat. This enticing blend was sourced from a number of organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards throughout the Willamette. The texture is supple and round, gently coating the palate only to be energized by the zesty acidity, creating a wine of great balance and versatility. The aromatics are reminiscent of springtime, and indeed those are the types of food that this would pair wonderfully with, such a fresh salads and roasted chicken.

Audrey et Christian Binner "Les Saveurs" Alsace White Blend 2014

(3/2016) The Binner estate was established in 1770 and the family owns nine hectares in Alsace, only six of which are under vine. They are a certified organic producer practicing biodynamic farming. They produce natural wines using little to no additives (including sulfer) and no technological manipulations. This Saveurs bottling is a gorgeous field blend of Riesling, Sylvaner, Auxerrois, Gewurztraminer & Pinot Gris. All of the grapes come into play in this highly aromatic, floral and spicy wine. Delicious green apple, pear, lemon drops, peach and lychee are complimented by minerality, fresh cut flowers and subtle spice. The palate is lean, dry and bright and the finish is very long. This is a must-have for Thai and Sushi BYOBs and is a perfect choice for spicy foods.

Evesham Wood "Blanc des Puits Sec" Eola-Amity Hills White Blend 2014

(3/2016) This delicious blend of 85% Pinot Gris and 15% Gewurztraminer comes from the Evesham Wood estate's certified organic vineyard "Le Puits Sec" planted in 1986. Produced in stainless steel tanks, this is a crisp and dry white filled with clean flavors of pear, peach and a touch of lemon zest. The palate is medium-bodied and well-balanced with just a touch of spicy Gewurztraminer flavor coming through on the finish with notes of rose petal and honeysuckle. A great choice to welcome in Spring!

(10/2014) "A serious value that's made from equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, the 2013 Upside Free Rein (which is made by Andrew Vingiello of AP Vin) has pretty apple, citrus blossom and salty minerality to go with a medium-bodied, clean, crisp and decidedly delicious style on the palate. All co-fermented, with no malolactic fermentation, and aged on lees for five months in stainless steel, it's a no brainier purchase that will be a perfect meal starter over the coming year or so."
