Domaine Pierre Gonon "Les Oliviers" Saint-Joseph Blanc 2014

93 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(3/2016) "Light, bright yellow. Poached pear, white peach, honey and lemon pith on the intensely perfumed, mineral-accented nose. Pliant, deeply concentrated pit and citrus fruit and honeysuckle flavors are complemented by hints of succulent herbs and fennel; bitter quinine adds back-end cut. Closes with powerful punch and serious persistence, leaving behind a note of candied citrus fruits. This bottling has an admirable track record for cellaring."

Booker Vineyards Paso Robles White Blend 2014

Winemakers Notes
"A blend of Roussanne, Viognier, Petit Manseng and Marsanne, this is the only white that Booker produces. This wine ages on average for 12 months in a concrete tank or new and used French oak barrels. Our goal with this wine each year is to create something that you haven't tasted from a white before. We want this wine to be different, to surprise you, and if anything to err on the funky side."

Herman Story Wines "Tomboy" Voignier- Rousanne 2013

90 Wine Advocate
(8/2015) "A blend of 67% Viognier and 33% Roussanne, aged 9 months in 100% new French oak, that comes from a number of vineyard in Santa Barbara County, the 2013 Tomboy was a little hard to read on this occasion. Starting out with a big, yeasty, wood-dominated bouquet with back ground notes of caramelized peaches, honeysuckle and wood smoke, it cleaned up with air and showed a more classic white fruit and white flower bouquet but still seemed not quite together. Big, full-bodied, voluptuous and textured on the palate, I suspect it just needs 6-8 months of bottle age to come together."

Domaine Senechaux Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2010

92 Wine Spectator
92 Rhone Report
"Superior to the '11, the 2010 Domaine des Sénéchaux Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc reveals additional minerality, as well as a more serious, rich, and structured feel. A rough blend of close to equal parts Grenache Blanc, Clairette, and Roussanne, with a splash of Bourboulenc, it is medium-bodied, loaded with stone fruits, almond, and mineral aromas and flavors, and finished with beautiful length and polish. It is hard to resist now, yet this will age as well." (France)

Domaine de Beaurenard Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2014

92 Our Score
93 Wine Spectator
(8/26/2015) "This has a gorgeous feel, with seamless, creamy layers of white peach, papaya, orange cream and heather honey sailing along, picking up salted butter and straw notes through the finish. This is hard to resist now, but should pick up even more nuance with modest cellaring. Drink now through 2017."

Pierre le Grand Crozes Hermitage Blanc 2015

91 Our Score
(2/2017) One of the best Northern Rhone white values you'll taste all year. A blend of 60% Marsanne and 40% Roussanne, this bottling gives wonderful scents of white flower honey, almond butter, baked pear, nectarine and honeydew melon. It is dense, plush and full of pure pleasure while being priced roughly $10 less than similarly styled wines. Fantastic.

90 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(3/2016) "(all stainless steel): Light, bright yellow. Dried pear, Meyer lemon, white flowers and beeswax on the seductively perfumed nose. Dry and precise, showing impressive mineral lift to the orchard and citrus fruit and honeysuckle flavors. A deeper peach note emerges as the wine opens up and carries through a very long, penetrating finish. This well-balanced, energetic wine punches well above its weight. Drinking window: 2016 - 2019."

89+ Our Score
(2/2017) The dream team of Michel Gassier, Philippe Cambie and Eric Solomon have done it again! A blend of 70% Grenache Blanc and 30% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2015 Cercius Blanc was aged for five months on its lees in concrete tanks - creating a richness that belies its price. The beautiful tropical and orchard fruit flavors are complemented by a long, clean mineral finish. Simply outstanding!
