Our 11th Annual Big Reds in Barrington!

This year's "Big Reds" tasting will once more be held at the beautiful Makray Memorial Golf Club, a mere five-minute drive from our Barrington store. We'll be popping the corks on over 80 highly rated wines from around the globe, showcasing hedonistic delights from California, Washington and Australia along with regal selections from Bordeaux, Barolo, Rioja, Rhone, Tuscany and beyond!

 

As always, we will have a broad range of hors-d'oeuvres and cheeses, along with a handful of delicious white wines and sparklers on hand to refresh your palate. This is one of our most popular events of the year. Gather a group of friends and sign up now!

Join us at the glimmering jewel of the Northwest suburbs, D & J Bistro, as we host some of our favorite Italian wine producers. They are in town briefly to celebrate their recent "Tre Bicchieri" awards given by Italy’s most prestigious wine authority, the Gambero Rosso!  Joining us will be Moreno Petrini from Tenuta di Valgiano, a singular biodynamic certified estate in Lucca, Tuscany - along with their nearly unmatched award track record over the last 20 years. We'll also have Sergio Germano's Ettore Germano wines being poured! We’re sure to try a few more Tre Bicchieri award-winning wines while we’re at it, joined by the importer that brings these amazing artisanal producers to our market. All to be paired by a sensational 5-course menu by Chef Masato and overseen by Stephane’s lovely team. A night not to be missed!

Brewer-Clifton was founded in the late 1990’s with the intention of paying homage to Burgundy in the not-yet-officially recognized Sta. Rita Hills AVA. Ascending in a short time from being sandwiched next to SeaSmoke in the famous Lompoc Wine Ghetto to: being Robert Parker’s single greatest revelation of 2001, on the cover of Wine Spectator, collecting 67 (and counting) scores between 95 and 99 points from leading publications, earning Wine Spectator Top-10 WOTY, converting to all-estate wines, and ultimately joining the Jackson Family of wines in 2017. One of the truly great producers of Burgundian varieties in California. You also get to be early discoverers of his newer Diatom (Chardonnay) and Ex Post Facto (Syrah)projects!When: Thursday, December 12th 2019
