(1/2026) 4 Monos - 4 Monkeys - refers to four friends and natural wine lovers and wine makers native to the region around the Sierra de Gredos mountain range in central Spain. The GR-10 Blanco, a blend of around 60% Albillo with smaller amounts of Macabeu, Chelva Blanca, Chelva Rosa, and Muscat, is an excellent introduction to their wines. After hand harvesting, the grapes are macerated whole cluster for around 12 hours before native yeast fermentation in both stainless steel and neutral French oak barrels. This is a refreshing, minerally white with notes of lemon zest, almond and hazelnut, orange blossoms, and white peach.
