(3/9/2023) The 2019 Cremant d'Alsace Blanc de Noirs Zero Dosage is a pure, sparkling Pinot Noir cultivated on the gravelly soils in Scherwiller (Bas-Rhin). It was vinified on the full lees in stainless steel tanks for about a year before the bottling and 21 months sur lattes before disgorgement with nothing added. The wine shows a copper-tinted golden color and opens with a clear, elegant and initially somewhat oxidized-seeming bouquet with delicate yet intense fruit, almond and yeasty aromas. Round and delicate on the palate, this is a silky, filigreed and mouth-filling fruity, full-bodied and vinous Cremant with a long, mineral finish. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Drink Date: 2023 - 2028.
