(8/2024) Fred Niger crafts this classic warm-vintage Muscadet from 100% estate Melon grapes grown under Demeter-certified biodynamic methods since 1998 via its founder, the late great Guy Bossard. In the glass, it delivers a salt and white pepper dashed yellow pear polished with lemon oil, dusted in crushed cashew with an essence of nectarine and pineapple. There's a leesy, waxy quality to the mouthfeel of this balanced white that belies its modest 12% ABV. Never shouty, always vital - Muscadet is excellent at the dinner table. Bring on the basted scallops or buttered turbot!
