(4/2024) We visited Domaine du Cellier Aux Moines in 2023 and were blown away with what Guillaume and Philippe are doing. The combination of a brilliant winemaker, an owner obsessed with greatness and historically significant vineyards results in a devastatingly GREAT range of wines. This world-class white comes from Chardonnay vines planted in 1993 on a tiny, southeast facing 0.26 hectare Premier Cru site just southwest of Chassagne-Montrachet. A pure chalk expression of Premier Cru Burgundy, this combines the tension of site with bottle development and vintage warmth. Yum!
