What Critics Think
Vinous - Neal Martin : 93 Points
(3/2023) The 2021 Chenas Chassignol comes from the oldest vines, gnarly and over 100-years old, behind the Thillardon's home. The fruit undergoes a 25-day maceration, 40% to 60% raised in used barrel. It has a complex bouquet with raspberry, Tayberry, bergamot and a touch of rooibos. The palate is well-balanced, fresh and poised with a fine bead of acidity and tart red fruit. A gentle build towards the finish lingers in the mouth. Excellent. Drinking window: 2023 - 2033.
