(4/2024) The Assyrtiko grape is capable of great things, a truly noble white grape variety. This bone-dry example from the Ilia subregion of the western Peloponnese is viscous on the palate, with saline-laced minerals in front of ripe citrus, honey, yellow flower and macadamia flavors. Showing depth and tension, it is a perfect pairing for shellfish and Asian cuisine.
