What Critics Think
Wine Advocate : 91 Points
(11/30/2022) Similar to the Malbec, the 2021 Catena Cabernet Sauvignon was also produced in an approachable and commercial style, with good ripeness, some varietal character and a combination of berries, herbs and spicy oak that makes it attractive and easy to understand by most people. It's medium-bodied with clarity of flavors and aromas and fine tannins. It finishes with an herbal and spicy Cabernet note. Drink Date: 2022 - 2026.

(5/3/2022) Lots of fresh black and blue fruit on the nose with dried leaves, chocolate orange and rosemary. Medium-bodied with fine, polished tannins. Fresh, creamy cabernet. Drink now.
Vinous - Joaquin Hidalgo : 90 Points
(9/2022) The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Catena contains 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot from the Uco Valley and Lujan de Cuyo. Garnet red in hue. The nose presents bold notes of redcurrant, hints of roasted red pepper and gentle aromas of fresh bell pepper within an oaky frame. Voluminous and grippy, the acidity is juicy, vibrant and just a bit tart. Drinking Window: 2022 - 2030.
