(8/2/2022) The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Impassable Mountain is another luxurious wine with depth that is uncommon for Sonoma, offering a perfume of cassis, fresh leather, licorice, and cedar. Full-bodied without weight, it has fine, ripe tannins, and warming structure, with ripe fruit of blackberry, turned earth, and sage unfolding on the finish. Hold this 3-4 years and drink over the following 20 or more years. For more Napa-centric collectors, these wines from just the other side of the Mayacamas should certainly be sought out. Maturity: 2025 - 2046.
