(5/2025) Brothers Arnaud and David Lavantureux have become one of the most exciting growers in all of Chablis. Imported by Kermit Lynch, these are classic Chablis wines that are vinified naturally, with very little intervention. With holdings in Premier and Grand Cru vineyards, the Lavantureux brothers have been gaining the attention of serious Burgundy buyers with their delicious, ageworty Chardonnay bottlings. This Bougros is one of three Grand Crus the brothers produce, and in '22, it's an incredibly rich and delicious wine, worthy of its Grand Cru status. Decidedly concentrated, in both fruit and minerality, this expression is about as 'sexy' as Chablis can get. It has the stuff to drink for 20 years, though it's amazing now. A special wine.
