What We Think

Vin Chicago: 91 Points

Finding Bordeaux with all of these complexities for such a killer price. All the hallmarks of classic Right Bank offerings in spades, but all in beautiful balance. Blackberry, black plum, and currants lead off the bunch, followed by antique leather, cigar-box cedar, and turned garden soil. Toasted spices round out the palate, with enough fine-grained tannin to carry the finish seemingly on and on, without being overly chewy or oppressive. Will pair especially well with game or beef; I see a porterhouse in my future!
