A visit to their throwback, no-frills winery in 2017 during a Burgundy trip has resulted in lasting contributions - like this tasty old vine Beaujolais. From the highly-regarded 2022 harvest, this sports the rarely seen but official Superieur designation that marks less than 1% of Beaujolais. Featuring great typicity for the region and Gamay variety, it's loaded with friendly cherry-berry notes, violets, and a fun grapiness reigned in by stone and flint minerals - an assertive but light country charmer with authenticity.
