(2/2026) Mas des Bressades is located just outside the ancient Roman city of Nîmes. Run by owner Cyril Marès, this fine property is best known for their delicious Rhône blends, which we've touted many times over the last 25 years. One of Cyril's most exciting wines, however, comes from an unsuspecting blend - 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Syrah, named in honor of his pioneering father who planted the Cab vines used to make this wine over 70 years ago. Farmed sustainably, this delicious red combines elements of Bordeaux and the Northern Rhône, accented by Provençal herbs and windswept earth. Looks for cassis, black pepper, coffee, cedar and red earth. More complex than the price suggests, this wine is balanced, distinctive and quite high in quality. Bordeaux or Rhône lover?
