(9/2026) Despite a reputation for torrid temps, the 2025 vintage of Sancerre appears very successful - with more freshness than many critics and merchants expected. This Vin fave Louis/Dressner import from Jean-Paul Labaille has remained rather affordable amidst a wave of accelerated pricing in its region. Based in Chavignol, this abounds in classic Kimmeridgian soil traits - and carries an extra inner-depth and mid-palate intensity that we've long welcomed. Freshness isn't sacrificed though, as there's vivacious notes of green apple, tangerine, lemon leaf, mint, yellow bell pepper and limestone minerals. Textbook Sancerre!
