(7/2022) The 2020 Montefalco Rosso opens slowly, yet is worth the wait, as a pretty mix of raspberry preserves, dusty rose and sweet spice fills the glass. It washes across the palate with soft textures propelled by vibrant acidity, as saline minerals slowly saturate under an air of violet inner florals. This tapers off perfumed and lightly structured, leaving nuances of sour cherry and citrus to linger on and on. The 2020, a blend of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and 15% Merlot and Cabernet, will be best enjoyed alongside a meal and is an excellent introduction to the Fratelli Pardi style. Drinking Window: 2023 - 2025.

(9/6/2022) A chewy Montefalco rosso with solid fruit and tannins. Some earth and blackberries with olives. Full-bodied and layered. Drink or hold.
