What Critics Think
Vinous - Eric Guido : 92 Points
(10/2024) Dark and brooding, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Stone Cairn slowly evolves with a blend of crushed blackberries offset by mentholated herbs and hints of cedar spice. This displays silky textures and cooltoned acidity, adding lift as ripe black fruits saturate the palate with youthful tension. It leaves the palate aching. as Red Mountain tannins flex upon the senses and notes of tart currant and spice echo on. Drinking Window: 2027 - 2036.
James Suckling : 93 Points
(3/3/2025) Blueberries, dried spices, bay leaves and hints of orange zest on the nose. It’s full-bodied but lively, fresh and fine-grained, with tasty, savory herb notes. Drink or hold.
Jeb Dunnuck : 91 Points
(7/10/2025) Structured in high-toned red fruit, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Stone Cairn is generous yet balanced in a medium to full-bodied style, showing a wealth of cedar, clove, and black pepper spice. The tannins are luxuriously layered and dense and should help the wine age gracefully over the next 10-15 years.
