(12/2024) A touch lower in alcohol than the last couple of vintages of this bottling that I drank (the 2020 and 2022). The wine delivers a really beautiful, sappy bouquet of red and black cherries, gamebird, a touch of road tar, lovely soil tones, fresh oregano and a topnote of distant bonfire. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, tangy and complex, with a superb core of fruit, moderate, buried tannins and excellent length and grip on the very well balanced finish. This is outstanding Barbera! Drink between 2025-2040.
