(6/1/2024) The 2023er Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Kabinett Schorsch was made from fruit harvested on vines planted in the 1990s and was fermented down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar. This offers a beautiful nose of pineapple, bitter orange, whipped cream, and smoke. The wine is nicely juicy and superbly creamy and spicy in the finish. Drink: 2033-2043.

(10/17/2024) The 2023 Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Kabinett Schorsch is coolish and fresh on the pure, citric and flinty nose. Round and elegant on the palate, with rather smooth acidity, this is a round, juicy, very elegant and charming, almost smooth Bockstein with a long, aromatic and finely saline finish. 8.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Drink Date: 2024 - 2050.
