Neal Family "Rutherford Dust" Napa Valley Zinfandel 2022

Our 2022 Rutherford Dust Vineyard 100% Zinfandel is a powerhouse Neal Family classic wine. 16 months matured in Hungarian oak, 75% in new puncheons, 25% in neutral barrels. Midnight black and violet in the glass, it looks brooding, but it sings aromatically of winter wild strawberry preserve, maraschino cherry, black currant cordial intertwined with baking chocolate, salted caramel and dried tobacco leaf. Broad across the palate, it is a balanced wine with vibrant acidity, enticing brambly fruit and subtle earthiness with a long finish. This wine is perfect for enjoying on its own or with hearty cuisine ranging from braised beef stews or black bean chilis, Texas barbecue brisket, burgers with smoked bacon, arrabbiata pasta and portobello mushroom.
