What Critics Think
Vinous - Eric Guido : 90 Points
(7/2023) Dark and understated, the 2021 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo smolders up from the glass with a woodland-inspired blend of dried black cherries, sage and shaved cedar. This enters the palate with a burst of inner sweetness complemented by silky textures that carry a dense wave of ripe red and hints of black fruit. Zesty acidity maintains balance through it all as the 2021 finishes structured with balsamic spice and a tart blackberry tinge. This shows the warmth of the vintage, especially in the tannins, yet maintains harmony throughout. That said, expect a darker and more intense rendition of Tiberio’s Montepulciano. Drinking Windown: 2024 – 2029.
