(6/2026) The 2023 Chablis Vau de Vey 1er Cru is aged in a used 500-litre barrel and then in foudres. It has an attractive nose, a little yeasty and leesy in style, with a touch of flor perhaps, grilled walnut and smoke. The palate is well balanced with a bright opening: tangerine and nectarine, with a touch of wild peach. Perhaps the spiciest of de Moor's cuvées in this vintage, there is a healthy dose of stem ginger that drives the finish. Excellent.
