(3/2026) Valentin Montanet is a young vigneron, working his family's land and crafting Burgundy wines in the northern Yonne department, though this wine hails from organically farmed fruit growing in the Mâcon. Raised in tank, from 2 hectares of 30 year old vines, this is a leesy expression of Chardonnay, with cured citrus, bruised apple, spiced pear, river stone, vanilla and herbal honey. Nutty, weighty and tense, this is a well crafted wine, imported by Kermit Lynch, and an excellent value at our closeout price!
