What We Think
Vin Chicago: 92+ Points
(4/2026) If this isn't the best American Chenin Blanc under $25 you've tasted, we'll give you your money back! (We'd do that anyway, but we really think you're going to go crazy for this one - we did!) Andrew crafted a small batch of this wine from bush trained Chenin Blanc vines planted atop Chalone, in 1903 - That's 123 years ago! Incredibly dense, with tons of material, this wine is all about minerality and salty orchard fruits, with a crunchy, brisk structure. Long and tense, we suggest blind tasting this against some of the hip (read: overpriced) American Chenins, and watch it smoke 'em! Wonderful.
