(10/2022) The Langhe Nebbiolo from Enrico Nada (Giuseppe’s son) crafts his Langhe Nebbiolo bottling a combination of parcels earmarked for this wine, as well as the younger vines from his parcels that go into one of his Barbaresco cuvées. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and aged in five hundred and thousand liter casks. The 2020 version offers up a classy bouquet of cherries, rose petals, discreetly autumnal soil tones, gamebird, fresh oregano and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and soil-driven, with a lovely core of fruit, ripe tannins, good focus and grip and a long, complex and well-balanced finish. This could do with a few years in the cellar to soften up its backend tannins a bit more. Good juice. Drink between 2026-2040.
