What We Think
Vin Chicago: 92 Points
(2/2025) Indiana native Erik Miller has been at work for over 20 years, farming a 100-acre ranch in Alexander Valley and a home vineyard in Dry Creek Valley. Those sites contribute 80/20, respectively, to this harmonious 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. A serious, dark-fruited effort that is about as good as it gets for classically-styled northern Cali Cabs for this price: focussed with deep flavors of cassis, blackberry, mint, mocha, dusty loam, and pencil shavings. Never sweet or heavy in feel, muscular without fat. Its modest 20% new oak barrel already has settled in and is an excellent Cab for the money to drink over the next 5+ years.
