What We Think
Vin Chicago: 95+ Points
(4/2026) This wine is a wonderfully elegant throwback to Napa Cabernets of days gone by. Texturally sophisticated, high pitched, complex and continuously evolving flavors of cassis and wild black fruits, savory notes of green coffee, olive, cassis, and Bordeaux like themes of gravelly-dusted clay, white minerals and tobaccol. Excellent - a serious Napa beauty at a price that proves you don't need to spend over $250, let alone $100 to get something wonderful. We wish more Napa Cabs showed this kind of purity and natural energy!
What Critics Think
Decanter : 99 Points
(3/19/2025) The first 2022 Napa Cabernet I've tasted that avoids the warm, juicy ripeness often associated with the vintage. Instead, it stays true to its character, showcasing beautifully pure black cherry and blue fruit aromatics, with a cooling menthol note and coiled energy. Framed by crisp, crunchy tannins and gorgeous, lacy acidity, leading to an impressively long finish of violets and fragrant bay laurel. Precise and focused. The blend contains 4% each of Petit Verdot and Merlot. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2045.
