(9/2025) Here's an invigorating orange wine from Texas (Hill Country and High Plains) that has a low-intervention vibration in the glass, but took a lot of human decision and skill to get there! Composed of 25% Viognier, 30% Muscat, 20% Gruner Veltliner, 15% Albarino and 10% Marsanne. A multi-vintage refermented wine with loads of perfume, spice, nuttiness with subtle tannic grip, it's a smart gastronomic choice when the food is varied, high-intensity or exotically seasoned, and especially fermented! Lean and vibrant but with an engaging texture - you can imagine it on a smart Michelin-star pairing menu where it will mesh with a course when a louder, more pedigreed or point-scoring wine would not — lonestar or two star!
