What We Think
Vin Chicago: 90 Points
(3/2025) This Pinot Noir is an excellent value from a second-generation estate founded in 1981 in the southern Willamette Valley near Monroe and the new Lower Long Tom AVA. They use estate fruit, including wine from top single-block bottlings, a Monroe neighbor, and some Chehalem Mountain contributions. All said, it is a minimal hands-on production of 1,500 cases. The profile is prototypical, silky, and fruit-forward with no new oak usage, keeping a fantastic price point. Flavors of raspberry, smoked cranberry, black tea, fresh cherry, orange zest, chervil, and a whisper of blue fruit. Yum!
